How to Cook Native American Recipes
Due to traditional values and practices, the ability to prepare Native dishes is a well-kept secret passed down through each generation to the next. Some common recipes, such as fry-bread, are available online.
When we lived on the Keweenaw Bay Reservation and participated in feasts there were foods brought that were excellent, but the originators of the food would not share their secrets.
