National Observance: Commit To Love On Parents’ Day

Unlike Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Parents’ Day is about more than just thanking Mom and Dad: It’s intended as a time for parents to rededicate themselves to the unconditional love that comes with being a parent. Public recognition of great parents is also a popular activity today, as churches, states and even cities award “Parents of the Year.” Last year’s national winners were Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, parents of 19 children and stars of the popular television show, “19 Kids and Counting.”
